across South Australia are invited to enter the Port Broughton
“Brush with Our Heritage” Art Prize in which the first
prize is $1000 for a work in any medium reflecting a connection
or relevance to Port Broughton or the
Yorke Peninsula.
This is the
third year of the prize thanks to the generosity of Bob and
Marjorie Brown, long time supporters of the town and community,
who again are donating prize money and funds to run the

Two
of Adelaide’s leading blues guitarists and vocalists, Steve
Brown and Dave Rhodes, are launching a new album when they play
at Palate 2 Palette at Port Broughton on Sunday 5 June.
The
cover design for the new album “Going Somewhere” features the
jetty at Port Broughton and Steve and Dave have combined their
enormous talent to pump out great well known blues, country
and ballads plus a couple of original tunes.

Moonta artist
Ron Wilson has won the Port Broughton “Brush with Our
Heritage” Art Prize for 2010.
His work,
“Moonta Bay Jetty”, was awarded the Open Prize of $1000 for a
work in any medium reflecting the heritage of Yorke Peninsula, by judges Russell Starke,
Director of Greenhill Gallery, and Rob Locke, art teacher,
